Intervale Lowlands is a private 160 acre nature preserve in Lake Placid, NY along the West Branch of the Ausable River. In collaboration with the Wildlife Conservation Society and Adirondack Research and Consulting, scientists are developing a climate-informed management strategy tailored to Intervale Lowlands Farm. The strategy will identify ways to help habitat and species adapt to ecosystem changes that are likely influenced by a changing climate. This includes a baseline inventory of all taxa at Inervale Lowlands Farm including moths and butterflies.
Butterflies and Moths of North America (BAMONA) provides data management support for the Intervale Lowlands. Intervale Lowlands participants can upload sightings for the project by using BAMONA's online submission tool, and BAMONA houses and will provide access to project data through search and browse tools.
