Observation notes: Feeding on pennyroyal in an area with quite a few zerene fritillaries and a couple of Lorquin's admirals and painted ladies. Right beside a quiet Forest Service road at about 5500 feet elevation, a somewhat rocky and partially wooded area very near the ridgeline. Temperature in the low 80s F, fair. Wings usually held closed. All photos are of the same individual.
