Arctic Fritillary
Boloria chariclea

Observation date: July 09, 2022
Submitted by: tjay13
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Seems to be same species down the road; this individual showed better closed wing view, more maroonish wash on closed HW. Habitat was more open than previous individual, but along a switchback in the road crossing a canyon drainage. Seems to be same flower with buds just opening.
