Statira Sulphur
Aphrissa statira

Observation date: June 21, 2020
Submitted by: Charlie Doggett
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: I know it looks white, but all other characteristics are Dina Yellow! But I could be wrong! :-) Seen in my garden, Roca Verde, Atenas, Costa Rica.
Status: Unknown
Verified by: Charlie Doggett
Verified date: October 17, 2022
Coordinator notes: SECOND ID CHANGE: At the encouragement of another Coordinator I am changing this ID again, this time to: Statira Sulphur with this reason given: "The similar Pink-spot range is restricted to Caribbean and southern Florida." -- FIRST CHANGE earlier: I was never satisfied with my first ID of Dina Yellow and I am not 100% convinced of this ID of Pink Spot - Aphrissa neleis (the brown edge & spots don't seem to match), but suggested by a fellow coordinator, and it is closer than the first ID of Dina! If someone can convince me of a more accurate ID, I am still learning! :-)
