Coordinator notes: The eastern Front Range in Colorado (and much of the rest of the state) has the Northern Azure (subspecies sidara; lumarco widely in western Colorado). The Echo Azure is farther west and south from Colorado. There are some records in southwestern Colorado that may prove to be Echo or Cinerea, another Azure that could be a separate species or Echo-related. The DNA of these blues do not differentiate well to species and since they all look very similar to one another, they are quite difficult to study. The group is however, being worked on. Mike
