Observation notes: The butterfly was flying to flowers in the tall grass at the east end of Hopewell Lake. It would chase off other butterflies. I did feel lucky to see so many in such a small area; maybe 3-4. The weather was cool and cloudy at first, but we waited out the clouds, and immediately all the butterflies are out.
