Observation notes: According to info these are much more eastern than our location, although map shows some sighted north in Canada. We have observed these for 15 to 20 years here. We live in the forest surrounded fir, Alder, and Chitum trees, with a small grass field. They seem to be the first butterflies to appear in early spring after a week or so of warm weather. curious if identification is correct.
