Observation notes: First Monarch seen at demonstration gardens. There were all kinds of butterflies flying around like crazy, mostly in the Butterfly Garden bed, which includes pink Phlox, Joe-Pye Weed, Stonecrop, Butterfly Bushes, Coneflowers, Bluebeard, Purpletop Vervain, and more. This one was pretty faded. Size: Approx. 4" wingspan. Weather: 79 degrees, 50% humidity, clear sunny skies.
