Observation notes: Seen perched on a rock next to the trail for about a minute before it flew off, and I got distracted by a pair of dueling skippers. The one I saw last year was also at this location, though that was in April and the individual was worn, suggesting that they may be breeding here. I'm glad to have been able to see a pretty, fresh one of this species.
