Observation notes: This moth, and several others like it, were noted resting on a sand/gravel beach of Rondeau Provincial Park, Ontario. It was quite cool and windy, so they were finding shallow depression on the beach. As a small group of shorebirds (mostly Dunlin) came along the beach looking for food, these moths would quickly take flight and move to another shallow depression.
