Observation notes: Sunny and fairly warm afternoon. It was sitting in a patch of weeds with no flowers nearby that I could see. Purslane, chickweed, 2 kinds of henbit, and mallow common in the area, occasionally evening primrose, thistle, and willow weed. There are other common weeds but I don't know their names. The moth flew off after a little while.
