Observation notes: Jeromi Hefner, Phillip Wallace, and I observed multiple individuals, flying with Bay and Delaware Skippers (observations submitted separately), along the Blue Goose Trail in Sabine National Wildlife Refuge. We noticed that individuals varied in the pattern and extent of the white stripe on the ventral hind wing; some individuals had the white stripe on the ventral hind wing reduced to slightly elongate spots on one or both sides. The photos in this sighting show two individuals that differ in the size of the stripe.
