Observation notes: male. not lygdamus. width of submarginal DFW black 'band' seems to eliminate several things. DHW submargin has black smudges. no underside shot, sadly.

Coordinator notes: Certainly icaroides....should be commonly called the "Lupine Blue" since it uses only lupine for host across the entire western U.S. The "Lupine Blue" aka P. lupini doesn't use lupine at all anywhere, the immatures use only buckwheats (Eriogonum). Mike
