Observation notes: It was on my front porch, which I noticed while cutting grass one sunny day. It was gone the next day, and I never saw it again. No plants nearby.

Coordinator notes: Pentas are a common foodplant. The caterpillar was probably crawling to find a place to burrow and form its pupa. The adult will emerge next spring.
