Observation notes: Butterfly was nectaring on Willowleaf Aster, Symphyotrichum praealtum. Butterfly stayed for a few minutes and then disappeared. Chenopodium album is a known host and was growing nearby. No caterpillars were seen. Butterfly appears to be far from its usual range with the only reports in Louisiana coming from the far southwest corner in Cameron Parish.
