Observation date: July 08, 2012
Submitted by: jazzyconcetta
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Not sure if this is a moth or butterfly. Very small (1/2-3/4"), on bugbane, curling its abdomen each time it landed. Warm sunny day, 73 degrees, slight breeze. Doral side looks a bit greyish blue, but couldn't get a photo with wings open.

Coordinator notes: This genus needs a specialist to determine.
10/24/2012. This is Celastrina neglecta. Likely the bugbane (Cimicifuga racemosa) is a garden plant or an escape.
