Three-spotted Fillip
Heterophleps triguttaria

Observation date: June 15, 2013
Submitted by: Caveman Etris
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: This moth was very small and a dull white in color. The only markings were the few black spots on the upper part of the wings. It was a hot and humid day in Indiana while I was out hiking and saw this moth. It would fly quickly when startled. It stayed in plants low to the ground along a canal that runs into the Great Miami River. This was a moist and mostly shaded area of the woods.
