Observation notes: captured previous night, on denim jean's not individual stitches, about a 1/4 inch long, tufts on head, dark splotches on wings. handles cold well. the micro moths if chilled in fridge for 20 minutes just fly away. this one spent an hour in fridge, approx 34 when pulled out it was flying in jar wanted to fly away. making wind turbulence around it caused to want to land or would never gotten shots of it. it seems very sensitive to bright sun light, crawling to shade. to avoid light or seek cover?

Coordinator notes: I don't know the scope of your interest in moths, but this species has not previously been documented by the Lepidopterists' Society. As you may know, the Lep. Society is the organization that officially documents moth and butterfly sightings. Their site (www.lepsoc.org) provides details on submitting a photo for species documentation.
