Observation notes: Trying to id this caterpillar found in our butterfly garden. There are dozens of them. The butterfly garden contains random plants grown from a butterfly seed pack. The exact name of the plant is unknown to me. The plant is located in Malabar, FL. The caterpillar moves fast and can be found on numerous plants but only the type in the picture show possible damage caused by the caterpillar. Many of the leaves turn to brown shells as though the water has been sucked from them. Not sure if that is related to the caterpillar or other conditions. It is the only plant in the garden to show such signs.
