Observation notes: Butterfly was perched on coyote bush in creek bed of Crosley Creek. It would chase other butterflies of the same species as well as most other butterflies that flew by, then it would return to the same general area to perch. Sunny day with temps in the 80's F. There was a large flowering buckeye bush nearby where this butterfly was feeding briefly.
