Observation notes: This moth was found underneath lights in the morning on the ground. I have never seen this type of moth before in the area in several years of looking. It was sitting with its front wings over its eyespots. When disturbed, it flashed its eyespots. Weather has been wet recently, but not rainy the night the moth was found.
