Observation notes: On sheet with UV black light. ID based on sighting of specimen in September, as this species is said to emerge September/October as opposed to identical in appearance incertella which emerges in late may/early June. Both may appear earlier in spring from overwintering (Ellis, S. E. 2004. New Pest Response Guidelines Leek Moth Acrolepiopsis assectella (Zeller). USDA. PDF). Submitted for PA BG record.
