Observation notes: This moth was found on my backdoor under the porch light around 10:30 PM. There was a cold front moving in that evening and it had been a very humid day in the upper 80s. The moth was stationary and did not fly away even when we passed through the door multiple times or photographed it at close range.
I had never seen this moth before, but noticed a sighting in my neighborhood from a year prior.
