Observation notes: Several individuals seen during NABA butterfly count along an arroyo near the Sevilleta NWR Visitor Center, nectaring on various plants, one of which possibly identified as sorrel buckwheat (Eriogonom polycladon).

Coordinator notes: this is great, Joe, thanks for submitting. I saw Rita there during a prior count, maybe 2-3 years ago in an arroyo south of the VC. I noted at the time that the buckwheat was effusum, but perhaps that is incorrect. If you can get confirmation of the plant, I would like to know its identity.
