Coordinator notes: Submitter suggested this was Pearl Crescent, which is a highly variable species on the underside. It is difficult separating species from single photos of partial dorsal surface. I have photos of both that and Silvery Checkerspot that look similar to this on portion of underside seen. Submitter now says he can tell this is Chlosyne nycteis, so I have made the change assuming he got a more complete view.
