Observation notes: In the same small field of buckwheat and telegraphweed where I photographed another Acmon Blue butterfly, I also spotted this very worn individual, with posterior left hind wing badly tattered. When it opened its wings, I was able to see a plain, worn brown surface, with somewhat tan edging and visible veining. I believe this to be a female Acmon Blue.
