Observation notes: On Pacific Crest Trail 2-3 Miles south of Sonoran Pass Right at the very upper limit of the timber line. Lot of very short lupin growing with many flowers in bloom. We saw many of these with lots of males Chasing females. Always Close to lupin, very rapid erratic fliers in the warmth of the day. Was able to finally get photo's once it started to cool off. females have a brown or tan colored hew while males were more silvery top sides were also different between male and female! We must have be there just a peak season as these were very common.
