Observation date: April 19, 2020
Submitted by: NathanAgudizy
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Multiple individuals in meadow along lower Las Huertas Canyon (above Sandia Cave but below Las Huertas Picnic Ground). Mostly moving to and fro amongst various low vegetation, and ground. Small: 3cm or so across wingspan. Did note a Yellow-rumped Warbler eating one at the Picnic Ground around noon. Weather partly cloudy and breezy with temps in 50s. Not much soil moisture. Creek flowing strongly. Dominant large veg is aspen and Douglas Fir, with willows, etc. One that I saw seemed to have yellower spots on hindwings close to abdomen, while most were as the images I've submitted: more whitish.
