Observation notes: Pair mating in New England Aster patch. The female emerged from cocoon on 17.June. First observed in the afternoon. The next morning a pair where mating. The New England Aster patch is in a suburban native plant garden with east and south sun. Neighboring plants include Juneberry, New Jersey Tea, Wild Bergamot, and numerous other native MN plants. The pair did not move much the entire day and were both absent on 19.June.
