Antillean Crescent
Antillea pelops

Observation date: December 28, 2019
Submitted by: CrescentWing34
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: This guy was small, so small that I almost never saw him. Approximate wingspan from wingtip to wingtip was no more than 1", based upon my memory. General dimensions were comparable to that of a small Eastern Tailed Blue. Was able to approach it all the way to point blank range, as well as observe it from multiple angles without disturbing it. No real movements at all. Simply rested on a flower with wings completely unfolded. Only one that I saw in the area. Weather was hot and humid with mostly sunny skies, and the occasional cloud passing by.
