Observation notes: Feeding at Alkali Heliotrope at North channel of Malibu Lake on Paramount Ranch. This is the type locality for Satyrium Auretorum Fumosum the Santa Monica Mountains Hairstreak. Not sure if this is it or if this is a faded individual of another species. Tan colored upper side in flight and in the video snapshot here. After a pack train of horses came by, it flew up into a small oak tree. Later I got some feedback that this may just be a Gray Hairstreak based on the orange abdomen.
