Observation notes: Cool & very windy. Few butterflies were seen. This one was sunning in the grass along Kittredge Dike adjacent to the Williamson River in Klamath Marsh National Wildlife Refuge, & was the only skipper observed. Photo by Ron Larson, who was unable to photograph the ventral side because the butterfly did not fly. The other butterflies seen that day were Common Ringlets.
