Observation notes: Very interested in this mock orange which is native to the area. Forest and River are nearby. There were a number of these in the area. Including one that was white - like a zebra swallowtail. There are quite a few also in other forests nearby - Courtenay (one comes to my garden with interest in their yew. This is of interest as I don’t believe it’s native but even in ON, the swallowtails including a giant swallowtail showed interest in my yew), Merville, Comox - seems a good breeding population. Sunny and warm.
