Observation notes: On a ridge line near Baker rain and light snow the day before, very cool morning and quite windy. Another hunt in an area new to us and mostly we saw nothing flying and nothing near nectar in most places Desert is what we got. Deserted Desert! Had never seen this one before and we also saw a swallowtail probably desert swallowtail? Habitat looked quite good in some areas but nothing flying? very strange. A mother donkey with a very young foal and a yearling started huffing and puffing then stomping her feet. Once I saw her I knew I better head the other direction or I was going to get stomped. very protective these creatures! Lots of driving and other than excellent scenery not much pay off! so glad we got to see these!
