Observation notes: I was surprised by what looked like a bumble bee hummingbird on my flowers in backyard. Temperature in early morning overcast, very humid, about 80 deg F at 8a.m. Closer look on Google, it said a hummingbird bumble bee moth that liked honeysuckle. I had planted highly-fragrant pink honeysuckle Fall of 2020 in a side yard, in attempts to attract more hummingbirds. I have not seen the bumble bee moth again, but I looked for frass on the honeysuckle and found at least 4 caterpillars on my honeysuckle! The pink honeysuckle is their host plant, alone in the side yard. Yet I have abundance of Henry Duelberg Salvia about 80' away from their host plant.
