Observation notes: Individuals gathering into "clubs" to take nutrients from seeps, moist soil, rocks, and shallow flowing water at the headwall of Soledad Canyon Waterfall. They are often accompanied by Mexican yellows, tailed oranges, and other butterflies. The afternoon was hot, breezy in the canyon, and under bright sunshine.
