Observation notes: Sedge fen presently wet enough to require rubber boots everywhere. About 1500 metres long, up to 400 metres wide. Spent about 1.5 hours trudging around this fen. Saw several Papilio zelicaon, several Erebia vidleri and several Boloria. Tried (not always successfully) to get ventral views of these fritillaries. Dominant vegetation includes many Cyperaceae, Betula nana, Rhododendron columbianum, Trollius albiflorus, Caltha lepstosepala, Salix commutata.
