Observation notes: A mild, partly-cloudy, summer day in the woods near the marsh at Evans Field in Hubbert Woods Forest Preserve, the butterfly was on a tall herbaceous plant but flew up into the tree as I approached and remained there moving only its wings occasionally that I could see.
