Coordinator notes: This is a female on Mexican Sunflower - Tithonia. Pictures also show sunflower bush which today had 7 Monarch's. Each spring I plant seeds for this sunflower in three areas and each fall the Monarch can literally swarm on them. Seeds are readily found and germinate fast in soil, pure sun and love heat. Reseeds here in Kansas. More people need to sow this sunflower for Monarch's. I have Butterfly Bush and Chaste Tree and with these sunflowers available the Monarch's only use the Mexican Sunflower.
