Observation notes: 65F and bright sunshine. Nectaring on spotted knapweed in a large, weedy, dry rain garden with blooming knapweed, goldenrod, aster and daisy fleabane. Couldn't get a good ventral shot before he flew off into the deep weeds. There are tons and tons of fiery skippers in the nearby horticulture gardens on the MSU campus, so I wasn't totally surprised to see this little guy. Still, pretty awesome.
