Observation notes: About 70* following several days of intermittent rainfall. This butterfly was drawn to sun warmed rocks at the edge of water/moist dirt below the Fillmore Canyon waterfall in the Organ Mountains. A red admiral was also spotted in the riparian area running parallel to the La Cueva parking lot about an hour later. The other red admirals I’ve seen, each logged into BAMONA, were on 7/21/21 and 4/1/22.
