Observation notes: Observed Sunning near the headwaters of the So. fork of the Tuolumne River. This insect landed on my finger and stayed for fifteen minutes cleaning the residue of a Fig Newton off my finger. Would alternately pump liquid out onto my finger and then suck it all back in. Taught me more about how butterflies eat.
