Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Reared from Prunus serotina. Larva made a lower surface tentiform blotch mine on the leaf margin. Larva exited mine through a slit in the lower epidermis. Spun cocoon at leaf margin that folded over the edge of the leaf on 9/22. Cocoon was a smooth, plastic-like, convex orangey silk casing. Prepupal larva was bright yellow. Cocoon was put in a fridge in late October and brought out on 3/5. Adult had not yet eclosed by 3/10, but after returning from spring break (3/11-3/19), adult had eclosed and was found dead at bottom of container, so likely eclosed closer to 3/11. FW length was 4.4mm. Photos are in reverse chronological order. For more images, see here: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/109072610
