Observation notes: Actually two separate observations 10 minutes apart, walking on the same "Outfall Road" trail in Elfin Forest Preserve. The first individual was navigating through open brush branches - a behavior I have never seen before. The second was a short ways down the trail in more open terrain, patrolling among the upper branches of Live Oak trees, in a more typical behavior. The pictures are not the greatest, as I have a hard time getting close-ups with this species, but the video I captured of the first individual is quite good. These are my first confirmed observations of Sisters this year.
