Coordinator notes: Actually, dammersi has been elevated to a different species than enoptes and this appears to be one. Bamona does not yet recognize the change, that action occurred about 3 or 4 years ago in the Southern California Butterfly book updating Emmel and Emmel's 1973 book by Ken Davenport (based on recommendations by John Emmel, Gordon Pratt and Paul Opler). It is available at the Colorado State Museum Gillette Museum website for free viewing and downloading. It covers all Southern California butterflies except White Patch Skipper and Dorante's Longtail, since added to the California fauna.
