Observation notes: Diane and I saw Six of these a couple days before this, three looked very fresh. We found two or three on this day. Strange to find these so late. I wonder if they got a late start due to all the snow on top of them for so many months. you posted photo's of all the snow when you were on your count up in this same area. There are still so many area's that are covered with snow that may not melt this year at all. It was so very cold at night high twenties and low thirty's in many area's especially above 10k. High at the start of this walk at ten am was 49. at the end of the hike it was 50 at 6pm high might have gotten near 60? Every day there seemed to be fewer Butterfly's and Some days were so cold nothing was flying. My last trip I had to go down to bridgeport canyon, because it was 27 at my camp site when I woke up. I was Surprised to see things flying there so late in the season, especially as it was a very cool day. Diane was hoping to break some late in the season dates with some of these photo's?
