Observation notes: Four were observed (photographs of two individuals added here) feeding on a dense stand of the flowering shrub featured in the photo. The host plant Texas False Agave Hechtia texensis grows on the low cliffs at both ends of the road tunnel to Rio Grande Campground, within c. 70 yards of these feeding hairstreaks. Most were worn but one was somewhat fresh.
