Observation notes: First observation of the year, and quite early in the season, but 4 separate observations that day confirm that they are out now. These were seen patrolling sections of the trail bordering both riparian and chaparral communities, Seen both in flight and perched in Mulefat or Lemonadeberry hanging over the trail. Good weather: clear skies, high 60's or low 70's, very slight breeze.
