Observation notes: Newly emerged monarch male on Cyprus tree in our garden. We have many monarchs as I’ve raised them on potted plants inside our screened pool area through pupation and then emerging from chrysalis until last year. Now I simply mark the chrysalis sites in our garden and track when the butterflies emerge. This was such a one. We have monarchs year-round as they seem to survive a few freezing days. We almost always free to the live oak trees at night.
