Date notes: A sunny morning walk looking for butterflies.

Observation notes: The moth is on the seed head of a dandelion; it is in a hayfield that was just a few days ago yellow with the dandelion flowers and now their seedheads are turning the field to white. Sparrows, starlings, Canada geese, mallards, and red wing blackbirds hunt in the tall grasses.
